Dr. Tina Beissinger has been a therapist in Pensacola, Florida for nearly 30 years. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Counseling Psychology. She has worked in clinical positions at the University of West Florida, the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and Duke University.

As a therapist, Dr. Beissinger uses a cognitive-behavioral model of intervention with a focus on achieving problem solving goals with her clients. She is trained in EMDR and Ericksonian hypnotherapy and has worked primarily with adults and families on issues related to trauma, recovery, anxiety disorders, loss, divorce, skill development and communication.

Dr. Beissinger was awarded the Liberty Bell Award by the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association for her work in establishing the program “Transparenting” for the 1st Judicial Circuit. This Court mandated program is provided for divorcing parents with minor children to assist in their understanding of the impact of divorce on children. Dr. Beissinger has been a member of the American Psychological Association since 1978 and the Florida Psychological Association since 1982.
