Yira Van Der Linde, M.D.

Yira Van Der Linde, MD was born In New York, NY. She moved back to her parents’ hometown of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic as an adolescent and obtained her Medical Doctorate at  Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena to later return to New York and complete adult psychiatric training In St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York.

In 2005 Dr. Van Der Linde relocated with her family to Pensacola, FL to work for Baptist Hospital  / Lakeview Center Inc. where she worked as a staff psychiatrist for 4 years and currently remains as Consulting Medical Staff. In 2008, she joined East Hill Clinic LLC. Dr. Van Der Linde also works part time atUniversity Of West Florida as the staff psychiatrist for the Counseling and Wellness Center.

Dr. Van Der Linde enjoys working with the adult population and has experience dealing with mental health wellness and illness issues. She provides her clients with diagnostic, consultation and treatment expertise for a wide-range of mental, emotional, identity, social and relationship difficulties.

Dr. Van Der Linde makes emphasis in providing insight-oriented, interpersonal and supportive psychotherapy, as well as individualized psycho-active medication treatment plans combined with patient education and focusing on treating patients as a whole.
